Niagara Catholic School board issues statement on threat incident
After the arrest of an 18 year old Niagara Falls man for uttering threats, the Niagara Catholic School Board is commending students, staff, a school resource officer and police for their swift action resolving an incident that began Wednesday and quickly spread on social media.
The board says those social media posts referenced a gun.
The board's Education Director John Crocco assuring students and parents, police have concluded the accused never mentioned a gun and neither had the victim.
Police also determined, despite what was being said on social media, there was no direct threat made against Saint Michael high school.
Yesterday police arrested 18 year old Tanner Laroche.
