Niagara Falls council says yes to transit merger plan
It's a trifecta, Niagara Falls the latest city to approve a plan to merge its transit system with two other municipalities.
Councillors approving the proposal to merge its public bus system with St. Catharines, Welland and the region.
Last week, St Catharines and Welland councils both gave their approval.
It's now up to regional councillors to put the final stamp of approval on the consolidation plan.
After it receives regional approval, a committee will be established to determine the governance model for the system.
