Niagara Falls looking at bylaw to regulate home vacation rental properties
Niagara Falls council getting ready to tackle the issue of vacation rental properties.
Councillor Wayne Thomson spearheading a move to adopt a bylaw to regulate properties advertised on sites like Airbnb and HomeAway.
Thomson says he has received a number of complaints from residents upset about vacation rental homes in their neighbourhood.
City staff are looking into ways to regulate the growing industry and will report back to council with suggestions.
