Niagara Falls park set for some upgrades

Kingsbridge Park in Niagara Falls is about to undergo some changes.

Officials with Niagara Parks say crews will be removing the current outdated playground equipment and replacing it with a new, natural playground.

Staff are moving forward with replacement plans, including a public consultation beginning later this summer.

Officials say they want the new playground to be accessible and encourage sensory play for everyone.

Construction of the new park is expected to begin in 2020.

In the meantime, the park is still open.
