Niagara police charge drivers after finding unsafe vehicles

It was a busy week for the traffic enforcement unit with Niagara police.

They stopped a motorist Saturday who was driving while under suspension and operating an unsafe vehicle with defective brakes.

Police say the vehicle and driver should not have been on the road.

On Friday, another driver was stopped with an insecure load that included a loose box spring.

The pickup driver didn't have a required annual safety inspection and no trailer insurance.
