Niagara police need help locating suspect in attack

Niagara Regional Police looking for help identifying a suspect in an incident that took place in the Queenston Street area of St. Catharines earlier this month. 

On December 15th,  a woman was assaulted just before 10:30 a.m. by an unknown male suspect resulting in minor injuries.  

The woman had some personal property stolen during the incident. 

Video surveillance has identified a suspect and police are asking the public for help in locating him. 

He's described as a black male about 20 years old

 He was wearing a black ball cap with a yellow logo, red sweater with black sleeves, grey jogging pants and white shoes. 

NRP confirming the incident was not a random act of violence.
Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance with identifying this suspect.
