Niagara prepares for freezing rain Wednesday

A special weather statement and a freezing rain warning have been issued for Niagara with freezing rain on the way.

Environment Canada says freezing rain or ice pellets are expected to begin early Wednesday morning.

Freezing rain could persist for much of the day before ending Wednesday evening or overnight.

The Wednesday morning and evening commutes will likely be affected due to the potential for untreated surfaces to become icy.

The temperature tomorrow will be hovering around minus 1.
