Niagara region under a severe thunderstorm watch
We could see some severe thunderstorm activity in Niagara today; Environment Canada has put out a severe thunderstorm watch for the entire region.
Winds could batter the area, reaching up to 100 km/h as a cold front moves through this afternoon.
Branches could be broken off trees, lawn furniture tossed, and shingles could be sent flying.
Hail and heavy rain are also possible.
Environment Canada reminds residents tornados can be produced by severe thunderstorms.
