Niagara's jobless rate falls for second month in a row
Statistics Canada reporting the economy added 15,400 net new jobs last month and the unemployment rate edged down to 5.8 per cent.
But those gains were due to an increase in part time work that offset a drop in full time positions.
Locally, Niagara posted a second monthly drop with the unemployment rate falling to 5.2 percent last month from 5.9 percent the month before.
Provincially the rate is unchanged at 5.5 percent.
