NIAGARA WEST | PC Sam Oosterhoff will be back as MPP

Sam Oosterhoff is back as Niagara West's MPP.

The 20 year old Progressive Conservative has been re-elected to serve residents in Grimsby, Lincoln, West Lincoln, Pelham, and Wainfleet.

Oosterhoff, was first elected in a by-election in 2016 following the resignation of former PC Leader Tim Hudak.

Oosterhoff winning in Thursday night's election, with NDP candidate Curtis Fric coming in 2nd, and small business owner Joe Kanee who ran for the Liberal's coming in a distant third.

Oosterhoff tells CKTB his first priority is getting a new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital built, with getting GO Train here ASAP a close second.

He says the election campaign was a very different dynamic compared to the by-election which was more personal in nature.

He says this election was very respectful.
