Nominate a hardworking volunteer in St.Catharines

Nominations are now open for Volunteer Recognition Night in St.Catharines.

This year marks the city’s 29th annual event honouring hardworking volunteers in the city.

It will be held on Tuesday, April 11 at the Holiday Inn and Suites Parkway Conference Centre.

At the event, the City will announce the recipients of the Mayor’s Volunteer of the Year Award and the Margaret MacLennan Youth Volunteer of the Year Award.

Visit www.stcatharines.ca/awards to submit nominations for Volunteer Recognition Night. Nominations are due by Friday, March 17.

“Join us as we recognize the special people for their outstanding contributions,” said Jan Bechard, who coordinates Volunteer Recognition Night. “We have many hard-working volunteers who are making a difference in our community. Let’s give them their due.”

Nominees receive complimentary tickets for themselves and a guest to Volunteer Recognition Night. Tickets are also on sale for $35 for adults and $18 for children. Tickets can be purchased until Friday, March 31. Visit www.stcatharines.ca/awards to request tickets.
