NPCA boss doesn't know why he was fired
It's still not clear why Mark Brickell was fired as CAO of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority and even he doesn't know why.
That's according to a report in the Standard.
Brickell's lawyer tells the newspaper his client wasn't given information about why he was being terminated.
Stephen Moreau, a lawyer with the Toronto firm Cavalluzoo LLP, says the termination was in writing but no reasons were given.
On Thursday, the NPCA issued a release stating the Lisa McManus, who previously served as the organization's clerk, has taken over as interim CAO and secretary-treasurer.
The release made no mention of what happened to Brickell who has held the position since April 2017.
