NRP and MTO crack down on commercial vehicle safety
Niagara Regional Police and the Ministry of Transportation are teaming up to conduct commercial vehicle inspections.
Today they were spotted at Mountainview Church on Main Street in Grimsby
They announced the inspections earlier this week, which will include stops in Lincoln and West Lincoln.
Police say they will be looking for vehicles with obvious safety issues including worn tires, unsafe trailers, insecure loads, faulty suspension and brake issues.
Special attention will be given to commercial vehicle operation along residential truck routes for speed and weight restriction violations.
