NRP in Niagara Falls need help identifying man

Police in Niagara Falls are hoping to identify a man following an incident last Friday at John Marshall School.

NRP were called to the school  following a report of a suspicious male at the St. James Avenue school.

The man had walked near the school property and offered a candy to one of the students.

The child didn't accept the candy and reported the incident to staff.

The man made no threats and there are no allegations of a criminal offence but police would like to talk to him.

He's descibed as a white man between 30-and-50 years of age, about 5 foot 10 and 180 pounds.

He was wearing a brown leather jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

Meantime, the NRP is providing education about stranger awareness.

Some schools in Niagara Falls have sent home information to parents to help educate their kids.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the NRPS at 905-688-4111 extension 2200
