NRP look for suspect following armed robbery

An armed robbery in Niagara Falls early this morning has police looking for a suspect.

It happened just after midnight at a gas station in the area of Drummond and McLeod Roads.

Officers flooded the area to try and locate the lone male suspect with the assistance of the K9 Unit.

The investigation determined the gas bar attendant had been working in the kiosk when a lone male entered the store brandishing a firearm.

The suspect fled the store on foot when he wasnt able to obtain anything from the attendant.  The attendant was not injured.

The suspect was last seen running from the scene north bound on Drummond Road.

He is described as dark skinned white male in his 20's wearing a dark grey hoodie with a black scarf over his face.

The investigation is ongoing.
