Obama bids farewell
US President Barack Obama has given his farewell address to America.
Speaking to a raucous crowd of thousands in his hometown of Chicago, Obama offered a brief list of his accomplishments in office.
He also gave a nod to the incoming president, saying Donald Trump's inauguration represents the ``hallmark'' of democracy -- a peaceful transfer of power.
Protesters tried to derail the speech, but were drowned out by supporters chanting ``four more years.''
Obama said simply, ``I can't do that.''
