Officials in Quebec say heat has caused at least 50 deaths

Officials in Quebec are pointing to heat-related complications in the deaths of at least 50 people.

Most of eastern Canada have been struggling with hot and humid temperatures since the end of June, but especially this past week.

Quebec had some cooler weather this morning, but Environment Canada says the hot weather will return next week with a dry heat.

There have been no reported heat-related deaths in Ontario and the Atlantic provinces.
