On the campaign trail
A turbulent start on Day 1 of the federal election campaign for the Prime Minister.
Justin Trudeau's plane suffered some damage on the tarmac at the airport in Victoria. B.C.
A media bus taking reporters from the tarmac damaged the wing as it drove under it.
The plane is undergoing an inspection, but the P.M. will still travel to Kamloops and Edmonton today.
Meantime, Conservative leader Andrew Scheer will be in Toronto this morning to make an announcement.
He will then take part in a leader's debate tonight in the city hosted by Maclean's.
Trudeau nor Maxime Bernier of the People's Party of Canada have declined to take part
But Scheer will spar with the Green's Elizabeth May and the N.D.P.'s Jagmeet Singh.
