One driver arrested, one suspended during NRPS Ride Checks
One driver was arrested and another will be off the road for a few days after Niagara Regional Police Ride Checks in Welland and Thorold.
Police stopped more than 300 vehicles between last night and early this morning.
11 drivers were asked to provide a sample of their breath: one was arrested after failing the roadside test and a second driver was given a three day licence suspension.
Police also picked 23 random drivers for screening under the mandatory screening law. All of the randomly selected drivers passed.
