Ontario AG at NPCA to check up on audit progress

Ontario's Auditor General was in Niagara today checking up on the NPCA.

Bonnie Lysyk was joined by the audit team who worked on the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority’s special audit.

24 recommendations were made as a result of the audit.

Officials say because the NPCA has a new Board, it was important that they hear directly from the AG.

Following Lysyk's presentation, Interim CAO Gayle Wood, also presented the Authority's progress and how they have moved on the recommendations.

Lysyk joined Larry Fedoruk on CKTB today.

She mentioned it was refreshing to see the initiative from the NPCA on the new direction they may take in the future

In 2020, Lysyk’s office will be publishig a report on how far the NPCA has come in implementing the recommendations.
