OPP warn fatal transport truck collisions are on the rise

The number of fatal transport truck collisions is rising in all but two of the OPP's six regions this year.

The North East Region encompassing Parry Sound, Burk Fall's, Moosonee, Hearst, Mattawa, and White River has seen the number of collisions go up by approximately 800% compared to last year.

41 people have died in crashes across the province this year.

So far the OPP have responded to 33 transport truck related collisions in 2018. That works out to a 38% hike compared to the same time last year.
