Organizers cancel premium music festival in Welland
It comes as no surprise, but a Welland music festival has officially cancelled.
Rock the Roses organizers have cancelled the 'Hair In the Fair' festival originally set to start next Thursday.
On the website officials write, 'due to financial hardship and extremely low ticket sales for an event of this size, we have to unfortunately announce the cancellation.'
Several acts pulled out of the festival over the last few weeks, including the Trailer Park Boys and Vixen, due to 'promoter's breach of contract.'
The website still lists two upcoming concerts for October and December of this year.
This comes after another premium concert series west of Barrie, Roxodus, was also cancelled.
The OPP are investigating a complaint made against an employee of the company behind Roxodus, but officials will not say if the investigation is linked to the festival.
