Organizers expecting Canada Summer Games to bring big boost to Niagara
We're getting a peek at what the Canada Summer Games will mean for the bottom line in Niagara.
Officials with the Games are expecting an economical impact of $400 million dollars, mostly in infrastructure projects, and the creation of more than 2,100 local jobs.
The major project will be Canada Games Park located next to Brock University which will include an accessible gym, a twin-pad for lacrosse and ice sports, an outdoor Cycling and Environmental Sustainability Centre, and beach volleyball courts.
Red Deer, Alberta hosted the Canada Games this year, resulting in a $250 million investment in the area.
The Canada Games come to Niagara between August 6th - 21st in 2021.
