Pathstone Foundation receives $50,000 grant
The Desjardins Group is giving back to a couple big causes in St. Catharines.
Today the group announced the winners of the Better Things Community Grants program - an initiative asking State Farm agents to nominate local charities or government organizations.
Pathstone Foundation will get a grant worth $50,000 to help with the development of 10,000 square feet of green space for patients living with a mental health disorder.
The Natural Playground & Healing Garden will be build at the Branscombe Mental Health Centre and will act as a supportive place for children.
Construction is set to begin in September.
Food4Kids will also recieve $5,000 from the Desjardins Group.
