Paul Bernardo back in court today

One of Canada's most notorious killers will make a court appearance via video link today.

Paul Bernardo is charged with possession of a weapon.

Bernardo was allegedly found in possession of a homemade shank composed of a screw and a pen on Feb. 9th in his cell at the maximum security Millhaven Institution.

The now 53 year old was convicted in the kidnapping, tortures and murders of 14-year-old Leslie Mahaffy, and 15-year-old Kristen French.

He was designated a dangerous offender and sentenced to life in prison with no eligibility for parole for 25 years.

He has been serving his sentence segregated from other inmates.
