Peter Kormos remembered at Queen's Park
Two pieces of legislation honoring former Welland MPP Peter Kormos are before MPP's at Queen's Park.
MPP France Gelinas debuted the Peter Kormos Memorial Act last week to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Kormos' passing.
The bill would see Ontario residents opt out of organ donation rather than opt in.
If a person or their representative, objects to any organ donation, no donation would take place.
The second piece of legislation would amend the Labour Relations Act and would ban the use of replacement workers during a strike or lockout except in the case of emergencies.
Kormos passed away on March 30th, 2013 at the age of 60.
