PM to go on steel producing tour, while White House waffles on tariffs
The Prime Minister will kick off a tour of steel producing cities next week.
It's in an effort to show support for the steel and aluminum industries facing stiff U-S tariffs.
Justin Trudeau will be in Hamilton and Sault Ste. Marie on Tuesday.
President Donald Trump has vowed to slap a 25 per cent tariff on steel imports and a 10 per cent tariff on aluminum.
But yesterday the White Huuse signalled Canada and Mexico may be in line for "special carve outs" from the tariffs but didn't provide any specific details.
