Police are investigating an apparent group sexual assault in Niagara Falls

Police say it happened early yesterday (Saturday) morning in the city's busy downtown.

A woman was walking down a laneway in the area of Clifton Hill and Victoria Avenue when she was sexually assaulted by a group of five men.

Police say she didn't suffer any life-threatening injuries, but was treated at a Niagara hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

The suspects have not yet been identified, they were described as follows:
 
Suspect #1:   Male, Hispanic, medium build, 25 to 30 years of age, 5'10" to 5'11" tall, weighed approximately 200lbs, had stubble on his face, a fair complexion and coarse short black hair. He was wearing:  fitted blue jeans, white short-sleeved t-shirt with logo resembling a horseshoe, red and tan coloured shoes, and a gold chain necklace with a cross pendant.
 
Suspect #2: Male, Black, athletic build, 25 to 30 years of age, 6'2" tall, buzzed fade style haircut. He was wearing:  black jeans, dark blue or black hoodie, grey shoes, and a gold chain necklace.
 
Suspect #3: Male, Black, stocky build, 25-30 years of age, 6'2" tall, fade style haircut. He was wearing: dark athletic style t-shirt and fitted grey jogging pants.
 
Suspect #4: Male, Black, stocky build, 25-30 years of age, 6'2" to 6'3" tall. He was wearing a casual top, fitted pants and sneakers.
 
Suspect #5: Male, Black, stocky build, 25-30 years of age, 6'2" to 6'3" tall. He was wearing a snapback black and red "Raptors" ball cap, casual top, fitted pants and sneakers.
