Police bust NOTL medical marijuana grow facility
Police have busted a Niagara on the Lake medical marijuana grow op for allegedly violating Health Canada regulations and unlawfully producing marijuana.
Police say there were medical marijuana licenses in place for the property on Larkin Street.
But after an investigation spanning several months, police moved in Tuesday and arrested two men who were not the authorized license holders for the grow facility.
Police also seized 765 pot plants growing within a large greenhouse on the property
Charged with Unlawful Production of a Controlled Substance is 36-year-old Yong Zhao and 30-year-old Li Yi Cao.
Police are continuing their investigation and expect to lay more criminal charges
