Premier to debut wage gap bill
The province is moving today to close the wage gap between men and women.
Premier Wynne will debut a "pay transparency" bill that will force employers to include a salary rate or range on all job postings.
The bill will also ensure any employees who discuss or disclose their pay will not face any reprisals.
Large employers will also be required to report to the government any wage gaps related to gender or diversity.
The province is promising to spend up to $50 million over the next three years on the initiative.
