Public information session set to discuss Thundering Waters development in Niagara Falls
A public information session to discuss the controversial Thundering Waters development in Niagara Falls is set for November 20th.
The event will take place between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Memorial Room at the Gale Centre.
The city is planning on holding a separate council meeting to deal with the Thundering Waters plan and the public notice says the date for that meeting is December 5th.
The billion dollar development known as Paradise has been a source of concern for many local residents after it was revealed much of the property is covered by provincially significant wetlands.
The developer has asked the city to amend its official plan for a mixed-use development proposal called Riverfront Community.
The lands are currently designated as environmental protection area and residential.
