Public meeting in the falls tonight to discuss Airbnb style vacation properties
Tonight is the night Niagara Falls homeowners can weigh in on the issue of vacation rental properties.
The city is holding its second public meeting on the issue this evening at the Gale Centre.
Mayor Jim Diodati says the city recognizes the need to come up with a bylaw to regulate the industry.
Diodati noting the biggest concern is over absentee landlords who buy up properties in the falls and rent them out with no oversight
The meeting gets underway at 6 pm.
