Vandalism at the St. Catharines veterinary clinic at the centre of outrage following the release of video footage showing the owner abusing animals in his care.
Red paint has been splattered on the Skyway Animal Hospital building and its sign on Welland Ave.
A protester tells CKTB three Niagara Regional Police officers attended the clinic today to examine the vandalism but they left shortly after.
The Skyway Animal Hospital reopened last month when the suspension of owner Dr. Mahavir Rekhi was lifted.
He was convicted of abusing animals in his care and had his licence suspended by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario.
Dr. Rekhi was caught on video punching and strangling animals in his care.
The building has been vandalized in the past with eggs and feces.
Protesters have been outside the clinic almost daily.
