Release of audit into Burgoyne Bridge delayed
We won't get a look at the final report into the Burgoyne Bridge build just yet.
Niagara Regional councillors approving a motion last night to delay the release of the audit into the over budget bridge, until OPP conduct an investigation into the build.
It's all very vague, but earlier this week the Niagara Police Services Board voted to ask the OPP to investigate several issues that were red flagged by Deloitte the company hired to look into how the bridge ended up doubling in price.
Last night, acting on a request by Chief Jeff McGuire, Councillor and Police Services Board Chair, Bob Gale asked that the final report not be made public until the police investigation has been completed.
