Residents from Niagara are expected to join thousands of Ontarians for a health care rally at Queen's Park.
The Ontario Health Coalition will be using Tuesday's rally to call on the provincial government to fulfill a campaign promise to end hallway medicine and protesters will be asking for improvements to mental health resources.
Officials from the Niagara Health Coalition peg mental health funding, the proposed safe injection site in St. Catharines, and funding for Hotel Dieu Shaver and the West Lincoln Hospital as key local issues.
Two buses packed with protesters will be leaving Niagara Tuesday morning:
In Welland, one bus leaves from the Welland Market at 9:15 a.m. before heading to the Go Bus stop at the Fairview Mall in St. Catharines for 9:45 a.m.
The second bus will leave the Go Station at Casablanca and South Service Road in Grimsby at 10 a.m.
Anyone who wants to take part should contact the Niagara Health Coalition to reserve a seat.
