Restoration work at Lakeside Park Beach
Crews from the City of St. Catharines are working to restore Lakeside Park Beach now that water levels are returning to normal.
It's been a record breaking year for water levels around Lake Ontario, but now that the levels are receding clean up work has begun.
A 30 by 20 metre section of the St. Catharines beach was cordoned off over the weekend while workers removed debris including construction material, glass, and large stones, and cut three fallen trees down to stumps.
They hope to complete the work by the end of day today.
