Two women who live in a neighbourhood bordering the infamous Niagara Falls, New York site, have launched a federal lawsuit alleging toxic chemicals are leeching from the waste site into their homes.
Hundreds of families in homes near the former toxic dump were evacuated in the late 1970's after more than 22,000 tons of dangerous chemicals were found there.
In the 1990's, Washington declared the area safe and allowed people to move back in.
Attorneys representing the two women in the suit, say they have found evidence that chemicals from Love Canal are still making their way into neighbouring homes.
