Robbery at Grimsby convenience store
A convenience store in Grimsby has been the site of a robbery.
Police were called to the Daisy Mart on Main Street East on Friday after a youth allegedly entered the store brandishing a weapon and demanding cash.
The youth was successful in obtaining a small amount of cash and fled on foot.
The suspect was located with public assistance, arrested, and is charged with:
Robbery contrary to Section 344 (1)(b) Criminal Code
Disguised with Intent contrary to Section 351(2) Criminal Code
Due to the provisions in the Youth Criminal Justice Act the suspect cannot be named but was held in police custody pending a Bail hearing.
