Roswell researchers to start testing Cuban developed cancer vaccine
Cancer researchers in Buffalo, will become the first in the U-S to test a new drug developed in Cuba.
With President Barack Obama, restoring relations with the island nation, American researchers will now be able to benefit from some of Cuba's medical advancements.
Researchers at Roswell Park, will begin testing a new vaccine for people suffering lung cancer.
While CIMAvax-EGF, has so far, only extended the life of patients by a few months, Roswell researchers hope it will eventually help slow the growth of early lung cancers.
They also hope to be able to apply it to other cancers, such as breast, prostate and colon.
