Serious injuries following single vehicle collision in Fort Erie
Two young males are suffering serious injuries following a single vehicle collision in Fort Erie.
Emergency responders were called to the scene of the collision on Ridge Road near Bertie Street at approximately 8:25 last night.
The two passengers aged 19 and 16 were travelling southbound in a 2008 Pontiac G6.
The 19 year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, struck a hydro pole and a tree before stopping in the front yard of a residence.
The occupants were rescued by the home's residents after the car caught fire.
The driver is suffering life threatening injuries and has been transported to an out of region hospital in critical condition.
The 16-year-old male passenger suffered serious injuries and was transported to an out of town hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
