South Niagara under Special Weather Statement
It's going to be a windy afternoon around Niagara and particularly for residents living in the southern tier.
Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for South Niagara including Niagara Falls, Welland and Fort Erie.
The weather office says winds could gust up to 80 km/h starting around the lunch hour.
The winds will weaken in those areas this evening.
For North Niagara, wind gusts up to 70 kmh are forecast for this afternoon and tonight.
