Southbound lanes of Red Hill Valley reopen
Traffic is moving in both directions along the Red Hill Valley Parkway for the first time in seven weeks.
The city of Hamilton tweeted out late yesterday afternoon that the southbound lanes were reopened following a closure for resurfacing since June 12th.
The $18 million dollar project is not quite finished, drivers should expect two weeks of closures ahead on ramps to the Lincoln Alexander Expressway and Red Hill Valley Parkway from Mud Street and the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway.
The massive project began in May with resurfacing of the northbound lanes following the discovery of a report that raised concerns about friction levels of roads original asphalt.
