Special weather statement in effect for Niagara
A special weather statement is in effect for Niagara and most of the Golden Horseshoe.
Environment Canada warning a Colorado low is heading our way which will bring heavy rain and the possibility of strong winds.
We could get anywhere between 15 and 30 millimetres of rain, most of which will fall tonight.
Then a sharp arctic cold front will blast across the region early tomorrow morning.
The front could bring winds gusting up to 100 km/h particularly near the Lake Erie shore.
Isolated power outages may also be possible.
The weather office says if the spring storm builds in strength wind warning may be required.
