Spray paint vandals strike in downtown St. Catharines

Businesses in downtown St. Catharines upset after being targeted by vandals.

Dozens of stores  in the Queen and Church area were defaced with green and black fluorescent spray paint last Thursday night.

The city does have a program that reimburses property owners for 50 percent of the clean up costs to a maximum of 500 dollars.

Police have added foot patrols to the downtown core and encourages anyone who witnesses and act of vandalism to give them a call.
