St. Catharines council to consider brewfing ban

St. Catharines is set to become the latest city in the province to consider  a ban on brewfing.

St. Andrews ward councillor Joe Kushner plans to introduce a motion at  Monday's city council meeting to ban the practise which involves people drinking beer on a roof.

Kushner, whose ward includes Brock University student rentals says he's received a number of complaints about brewfing, particularly last St. Patrick's Day.

London city council is in the middle of drafting a brewfing ban which includes a fine of $750 for anyone caught partying on a roof.
