St. Catharines' Deputy Mayor has parted ways with his employer, Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation.
Mary Jane Johnson, the Executive Director for the Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation and the Director of Communications for Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre confirmed to CKTB that Matt Harris is no longer employed with them.
Harris, who is a Ward 2 councillor for St. Andrew's, had been working with the Hotel Dieu foundation for the past three years as Major Gifts Officer.
Johnson says she can't comment on the circumstances for the departure given that its a personnel matter.
She did wish Harris the best in his future endeavours.
CKTB has reached out to Harris for comment.
