St. Catharines woman facing sexual assault charges stemming from years as Burlington babysitter
A St. Catharines woman who worked as a child care provider in the 90s is being charged with sexual assault.
Halton police arrested 55 year old Frances Maureen McNeil on Tuesday, charging her with sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching.
At the time of the alleged offences, McNeil went by the name Maureen Crawley. She worked as a babysitter at her Burlington home from 1996 - 1998.
The Hamilton Spectator reports she is being charged of sexually assaulting a boy in her care, but Halton police believe there could be more victims.
Anyone with additional information is asked to contact D/Cst. Matt Cunnington of the Halton Regional Police Service Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-465-8978.
