Niagara police stopped about 250 vehicles during RIDE checks in Fort Erie and Niagara Falls Saturday.
The first driver stopped had stolen plates attached to their vehicle.
The driver was arrested and later released at the scene.
Throughout the rest of the evening, only one driver was requested to provide a sample of their breath for analysis after it was suspected that they had consumed alcohol. As a result, the driver received a 3 day licence suspension.
In addition to the alcohol related suspension, officers issued half a dozen tickets for various driving offences.
