Talks in Catholic Elementary dispute to resume this morning

The clock is ticking closer to a lock-out by the Catholic School Board in Niagara of its Elementary teachers.

Bargaining between the two sides resumed on Wednesday and wrapped up yesterday without a deal.

Local OECTA representatives say talks are set to resume this morning with the help of a provincial mediator.

The Catholic school board announcing earlier this month a plan to lock out elementary teachers beginning on Monday if a deal is not reached.

The stumbling block in negotiations is hiring practices.
