Things to do this long weekend in Niagara
Plenty to do this Victoria Day long weekend around Niagara.
Splash pads open at several parks in St Catharines today, weather permitting, including Bogart Street Park, Catherine Street Park, West Park and Lester B. Pearson Park.
The Morningstar Mill heritage site at Decew Falls opens tomorrow.
The Virgil Stampede opens tomorrow as well.
The festivities run Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm, Sunday from 11 am to 8 pm and Monday from 10 am to 10 pm.
The annual Victoria Day fireworks display gets underway Monday night at 9:30 p.m.
Fans of fireworks can also head to Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls.
The skies above the falls will come alive starting tonight and running through to Victoria Day. All displays start at 10 pm.
Fireworks are also on tap at Heartland Forest in Niagara Falls on Sunday.
The festivities run from 6 pm to dusk. Entrance to the park is $15/car or $3/person.
Victoria Day celebrations will also be held Sunday at the Welland Community Wellness Complex with fireworks set to begin at 9:30 pm over the canal.
